If you’re looking for a magical trip to inspire and engage your students, Disneyland® Paris offers the ideal location for students of all kinds of subjects. Home to countless roller coasters and rides, all sat alongside the iconic Disney castle, this fantastic theme park also offers students the chance to enhance their learning experience through a series of eye-opening seminars and workshops.
As a preferred partner of Disneyland® Paris, Study Experiences offer subject specific trips to support your student’s education. For those studying the world of Design and Technology at GCSE, AS/A Level, SQA and BTEC the Study Experiences Design and Technology programme at Disneyland® Paris, will expand their knowledge through a series of seminars and workshops which cover key topics and themes.
Study Experiences covers key material from the most popular Design and Technology examination specifications. Our aim is to bring classroom teaching alive through an exploration of the related working practices at Disneyland® Paris. Each topic is reflected in the Seminar, Workshop or Student Assignments. No other educational travel specialist has the knowledge or backstage access to provide this vital learning dimension..
Whilst on your school trip to Disneyland® Paris, your itinerary will include a curriculum-led seminar, an interactive workshop, subject-specific assignments, as well as entry to the resort's parks.
The Design and Technology Study Experience immerses students in the practical applications of design and technology at this world-famous theme park resort in a number of different and engaging ways:
• Through attending a Seminar hosted by facilitators with experience of working with Disneyland® Paris and featuring back-stage video interviews and footage filmed exclusively for Study Experiences
• By taking part in our interactive Workshop which encourages the students to use their knowledge of Design and Technology principles and practices
• Completing subject-specific Assignments during their time in the Parks, at the Resort and/or back at school or college
The Workshop gives students the opportunity to put some of what they have experienced in the Seminar and during their time in the Resort into practice. Divided into teams of 8-10 and guided by our experienced facilitators, their task is to design a new product for Disneyland® Paris. It could be a packaging item, signage or brochure, graphics for a new AV show, a roller coaster, parade float, food item, menu or restaurant, or a show or parade costume.
At the end of the workshop, the teams will give a 3-minute presentation of their design to the facilitators, teachers and the rest of the audience. They will need to be prepared to answer questions and receive feedback.
We can include specific visits in your itinerary, additional visits can be added based on the trip length and needs of the curriculum or teacher.
