This is a very short note to say thank you for such a well-organised trip: both on the ground and behind-the-scenes! All involved had an excellent few days and it was entirely down to the professionalism of everyone I have encountered who works for Anglia Tours that this was the case.

It was excellent. I like that there is always a bit of flexibility on this trip to include/exclude things based on what's going on. We were able to include 2 fantastic pilgrimages to see the graves of relatives of students on our trip.

They go out of their way to make the experience personal for the students, researching their relatives and going on pilgrimages to pay their respects. They build an incredibly strong positive relationship with staff and students alike, and have the perfect combination of expertise, integrity and humour to make the trip a memorable experience for all involved. I have been on several Anglia Battlefield Tours and I am always impressed by how well organised and lead they are.

We wanted to extend a HUGE thank you to all involved for such an amazing, moving, interesting, fun and thought-provoding trip.

To summarise, overall a great trip. Cadets were full of praise for Steve (guide) and Kevin (driver). I will be recommending to the Commandant that Anglia Tours be our preferred provider in future.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for taking G on the history trip at half term. It must be a huge effort to organise / co-ordinate a trip like that, not to mention keep control of everyone whilst there!
G had a really great time, a lovely mix of getting to spend time with friends and witnessing the enormity of the history of such a place - he spoke as though seeing all the memorials etc had a real impact on him to which is so important.

I saw one of the girls who went with my boy on the trip and she said it was amazing and her face lit up when I asked her if she enjoyed it….
Yep, the boy had the best time ……. He was so, so impressed with the guides he had, I’ve had a week of him talking non-stop about it….

The whole experience of working with Anglia throughout really made for a very pleasant and easy experience allowing me to relax and enjoy the tour along with all the other participants. An all round excellent experience delivered by an exceptional team, Thank You Anglia Tours.

We had an excellent trip. I feel a bit sheepish; I was really rather demanding and grumpy in stages of its inception, but I have to say it all went very well indeed. A lot of this was down to Anglia. You arranged two absolutely first-rate guides for us in David (Barron) and Andy (White). David got us through the vagaries of customs and boarding at Dover with ease - the ferries were on time in both directions and the queues not long at all. The boys were even complimented by Border Force staff – a sure sign Etonians can be very polite when they want something!

It was a very good thing to be back to taking such trips, especially those arranged by Anglia – and I hope we might take more in future!

I have just returned from Belgium for our Realities of War package with your excellent guides, Chris and Bill.
I wanted to write to thank you for sending them and to highlight how brilliant they were. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and they engaged completely with our Rcts (and Permanent Staff for that matter). They were great company and made our lives as Permanent Staff extremely easy. In addition, they were dynamic, responding to our needs and requirements as they came up. All told, I have now been on four trips of this kind and this was the best to-date and Bill and Chris played a huge part in making the trip the success that it was. Please do pass on my thanks to them – they went well over and above what we might expect and I’m hugely grateful to them for their efforts.

The tour coordinator (Karen) was very good at adapting to our needs, right until the last week. They provided us with excellent information and made us feel at ease about the booking of the trip.

Overall, it was an absolute delight to work alongside him and it was a fantastic opportunity for me to observe and take note of what works well for my own teaching in the future.

With this being around my 8th battlefield tour, I have never had the level of service and personalisation offered by Dave. He was even able to alter our itinerary during the trip to facilitate new information from the group. It was a real joy to work on this project and I hope we can do this again.
