The modern Centre offers a permanent interactive exhibition where testing and touching is greatly welcomed! The three-storey exhibition "Discover what moves us" offers the opportunity to learn more about one's own body in an interactive and playful manner. Multimedia installations help to understand inventions that provide more mobility for people with physical impairments. Movement is the core topic of the exhibition. Students can interact to see how the human sense of balance works, what it's like to ride through Berlin in a wheelchair or what our hand has to accomplish when we catch a pen. The functionality of mind-controlled prostheses is explained as well.

Life Science Learning Lab

The Life Science Learning Lab can provide our groups with four-hour, hands-on lab courses in genetics and chemistry for students. The educational concept is designed to ensure that all experiments are closely related to the school curriculum and that the students perform experiments independently in small groups. The courses are led by scientists from the campus research institutions.

A huge range of permanent exhibition across a wide range of topic from maths and computer science to power engineering and telecommunications, there is so much to see. Daily demonstrations, visitor activities and guided tours make the Deutsches Technikmuseum an interactive learning experience. Groups can choose to take an audio tour or take a one hour themed guided tour from topics including ‘Industrialisation’, ‘People and technology’, ‘Technology and war’ and ‘Technology and Art.'

The three floors and almost 10,000 sf of space give you a chance to treat yourself to everything you fancy, try your hand at being creative and find out all about chocolate.

The Autostadt offers a tour of this huge factory belonging to the Volkswagen Group.  It includes an automotive museum , the production plant and futuristic collection system which can be explored in the amazing glass lift tour known as ‘Car Towers’  which always leave visitors in awe. There are also a number of pavilions to explore home to brands such as Porsche and Audi, each expressing its own brand philosophy via its architecture.

Archenhold Observatory

The longest moveable refracting telescope on Earth is 21 meters long and is still today the main highlight here! Astronomy is observing and measuring – that is the central theme of the exhibition on astronomy within the historic building of the Archenhold Observatory. Learn about the solar system and information about the planets’ surfaces. The historic Einstein Hall and the Zeiss Minor Planetarium are the other attractions here.

The Wall - Asisi Panorama

Right across from Checkpoint Charlie is a large cylindrical building made of steel. Inside is a fascinating display of life in the vicinity of the wall in divided Berlin during the 1980s. The display shows the contrast of daily life on both sides of the wall according to the memories of Yadegar Asisi, who actually lived in Kreuzberg in the 1980s. It’s great visit for helping students to understand life on both sides of the wall.
