Educational Visits In London

  • Bevis Marks Synagogue
Situated in the City of London just off the ancient thoroughfare of Bevis Marks, this Synagogue is a Grade I listed building and is the only synagogue in Europe that has held regular services continuously for over 300 years. Guided tours can be arranged here.
  • The Buddhapadipa Temple
This is a Thai Buddhist Temple in Wimbledon. It is a home to monks and nuns but visitors are welcome to view the grounds and the temple provided they follow respectful conduct. It is only possible to visit the temple Monday to Friday.
  • Kadampa Meditation Centre London
The KMC is a centre for modern Buddhism and Temple for World Peace. It’s located in South West London in Morden and although can be reached via undergound we advise a coach journey if possible as it is not central. This is a new venue where they are very keen to welcome new groups to visit to learn more about Buddhism and meditation.
  • Neasden Temple
This beautiful Hindu Temple located close to Wembley welcomes visitors to take a look around and also has an Understanding Hinduism exhibition which helps them learn more about the values and wisdom of this religion.

Ethics

  • Imperial War Museum
A half day guided tour of the city on board your coach is a perfect way to see all the major sites. Highly recommended if this is a first time visit to London for many of your students.
  • Freud Museum Tour and Discussion Sessions
Freud had strong views on religion and believed it to be an illusion based on what we want to be true rather than what is true. The Museum's education team is familiar with GCSE and A-Level. RS specifications and can hold informative discussions. A visit here allows groups to learn more about Freud as they explore his former house and complete pre-set worksheets based on Freud’s religious views.
  • Forensic Outreach Session – Medical Ethics
From a call to bury the skeleton of a 7-ft tall giant to the possibility of a corpse research laboratory in your own backyard - this unique hands-on session in medical ethics will bring students close to the harrowing issues that are shaping modern science. What specimens should scientists have access to? What is the dark side of gene splicing and human genetic engineering? Explore these topics and more with one of our extremely qualified instructors - all from top-tier research Universities in London.
