German Christmas Markets date back hundreds of years and the Cologne Christmas markets are iconic! Its not just the hundreds of stalls, but the carousels, skating rink, mini train, ferris wheel and much more that will take your students into a festival wonderland for a few days.
You'll find the markets are a great opportunity for students to explore and learn in surroundings that interest and engage them whilst providing fun and learning. Wondering around the stalls ordering food, gifts and Christmas baubles, your students can build their confidence interacting with German speakers in a much more relaxed environment than the classroom.
